ABOUT ME
Loulabelle Beauty Studio is run by me, Louise Godfrey, an experienced, insured and qualified nail and beauty therapist of 29 years.
After completing my City and Guilds in beauty therapy and cosmetic makeup at Bournemouth and Poole College, I decided to concentrate on treatments solely for the hands, feet and face.
The nail and beauty industry changes all the time. To keep up with what is new and on trend, I research it and learn any new skill that will benefit my business and my clients. I try to take a new course every year, you can never stop learning in this industry.
That's why I love it and never get bored.
I am very passionate about nails and love colour and glitter , what girl doesn't! I have over 140 gel colours and over 100 glitters, foils, dusts, pigments, chromes and embellishments.
I could say I'm known for my nails and nail art. I love a design and challenging myself. Many regular clients come in with different designs they've found on Google or Pinterest and ask me to replicate them.
Our first lockdown in March 2020 gave me time to learn lots more nail art skills. Attending Facebook lives helped me and I know it gave more of us in the industry a chance to practise what we love.
My other passion within my business is makeup. I have been a part of the wedding industry, by making many brides looking beautiful for their special day, for over 13 years, and loved every minute of it. However, after longing to do micropigmentation, I took a course in September 2020 at the Clinical Academy in Portsmouth.
It's been challenging learning a new treatment with my business closing down a few more times than I wished for. This isn't going to discourage me though, if anything the complete opposite.
